A “dastarkhan” suzani or table cover suzani, sewn over 1 month by hand, on a black colored adras, with blue, purple, yellow, orange and red natural silk thread that was dyed with traditional methods using only organic materials.

The pattern found on this suzani is a pomegranate motif, symbolizing life. The pomegranate is known in Central Asia as the tree of life, symbolizing fertility, health and abundance.
